3. Specification of Main Structure & parts

Supporting structure

All metal components of the welded frame are powder coating. This structure is composed of

supporters (60x40x3mm) on the front side, and supporters (100x50x3mm) on the rear side.

These supporters are connected by means of connecting sleeves (40x40x2mm).

These connecting sleeves are fitted at intervals of less than 500mm for additional safety and

stability. Its possible to connect the platforms parallel to each other.

PlatformThe aisles are made of plywood of at least 18mm thick, covered with carpet from our

STANDARD range. The extremities of the aisles are edged with slip-resistant strips.

An upstand closes off the rear section of each platform to prevent objects from falling off the

grandstand.

Support columns

Each platform has 2 trestles of (100x50x3mm) which are interconnected by means of saddle

elements. They distribute the load bearing capacity to the support columns.

Guide rails

The supporting section of each platform is provided with a guide rail with two wheels, which

makes it possible to wheel the stand in or out in a straight line. Additional horizontal supports

increase the stability and ensure that the gap between each platform is maintained.

Wheels

A set of 3 wheels with ball bearing are fitted into the support columns. These vulcolan wheels

are 100mm in diameter and 50mm wide. Possibility to put extra wheels in each wagon Price

Locking device

Each platform locks automatically when slid in or out of the grandstand.

Side guardrails

Integrated telescopic or demountable side railings, epoxy-coated, in a RAL colour of your

own choice. The total height is 1000 mm above the aisles.

Electro-motor driven

The grandstand is provided with 2 electric motors which are mounted under the first row of

seats. Each motor drives four large wheels, which provides an optimal contact with the floor.

This system is designed to prevent the motor from slipping and causing damage to the floor.

Power supply: 220V/16A or 380V/16A

Operation

The telescopic grandstand is controlled by means of a detachable low-voltage (24V) remote

control unit which can be connected to the front of the first platform.

This grandstand is equipped with double command.
